Yoga is a Sanskrit word that literally translated
means union of body, mind and spirit. Just as much about working
your mind as it is about working your body, yoga seeks to strengthen,
calm and relax you. This ancient science promotes physical fitness,
weight loss and recovery from illness or injury, while providing
stress relief and a sense of well-being. A path to enlightenment
that winds back 5,000 years to its origins in India, yoga helps
you use your body and mind to achieve wellness, happiness and ultimately,
spiritual liberation. It makes you feel good.
With a wide range of styles, yoga takes many different
forms. Each class is designed to build your strength and flexibility
and inspire peace and tranquility. Classes focus on you working
through a series of body poses (asanas) performed either sitting,
standing or lying down, with concentration on posture and breathing.
